Merchant Circle MerchantCircle.com is a directory designed specifically for local businesses to promote themselves on the Internet. The basic listing is free and comes with a dedicated web page and a number of Internet marketing tools. MerchantCircle.com claims an ability to place paid, locally-focused advertising for a company on the major search engines and even guarantees click through rates back to your company's MerchantCircle page. This is not an endorsement of the service, just information.

Etsy If your company does offer products for sale online, you may want to look at Etsy.com. Etsy is a website which focuses primarily on providing the general public with a way to buy and sell handmade items. The site follows in the tradition of open craft fairs, giving sellers personal storefronts where they list their goods for a fee. It has been compared to "a crafty cross between Amazon and eBay" and "your grandma's basement".
